Payment Policies

​

• 50% of the total session fee is due at the time of booking. The remaining amount+ WA local and state sales taxes* on the entire amount is due on the day of the shoot.  This preliminary retainer payment is NON refundable should the client cancel (for any reason)** after booking. This non refundable retainer is for the booking of that specific time and place for the shoot and the photographer will not advertise for or book this time for any other jobs. The retainer serves as a payment for loss of business for filling that booking date and time should the client cancel(and not re-book) their appointed session slot.

       

• *ie: If the entire base package is $200, your 50% retainer at booking would be $100. At the appointment time and date of the   session, the client would pay the remaining $100+ any applicable travel fees  + WA state and local sales tax on the entire payment. Bremerton WA combined sales tax rate  is 9%, and a client has a shoot in a location that adds a $20 travel fee to the session package price. 9% of $220 is $19.80. Hence, the client would be paying $100(Non-refundable Retainer)+$20(travel fee)+$19.80(taxes on the entire amount being paid) on the session day, with the complete

        package amount totaling $239.80. (Sales taxes are determined by location of where the digital photo gallery is being         

        delivered.)

• **(not including emergency or other extenuating circumstances in which the photographer will communicate with the client at that time regarding refunding options.)

•  If it is determined by BOTH the photographer and client that the weather or some other circumstance is going to be an issue for the date/time/place of the booked shoot and a rescheduled booking is made, the payment protocol will remain the same. (Photographer will retain the initial 50% payment and the remaining balance, fees and taxes will be collected on the new session date.)

• If the Photographer must cancel the shoot for some reason, the client will be refunded the preliminary retainer payment  /OR if a shoot is rescheduled in a reasonable fashion with the consent of the client, the payment will transfer to the newly booked date.

• Travel fees are applicable and may vary when shoots are out of the area. (requiring travel of 30 min or longer). Cost of gas, tolls, wear on the vehicle, and my time are factors taken into account for these fees. As each shoot location differs, reasonable fees will be discussed at the time of booking.

• Payments options at this time can be made with cash, or check. Retainers paid at the time of booking( When you are officially put on the calendar with a time and place for your session), if  paying by check, must clear with the bank before the session date when the remaining balance, fees, and taxes are to be paid. If we will not meet in person before the session date,  retainer cash/checks can be mailed to the designated address you will receive in our correspondence. Check payments on the day of session must clear before Gallery is delivered. **Planning for PayPal payment option in the near future. However, currently not yet available.

• In light of COVID 19, I do not work with any change for cash payments. To minimize extra contact exact amounts are required. The amount owed will be communicated clearly in corespondance leading up to the shoot date so the client can. The Thank you.

   Other Photography Policies & Helpful Info

• You will likely notice I don't have a specified number of photos that will be included in your completed client gallery post-shoot. Each shoot varies in length and conditions on that specific day which will impact how many photographs are taken during the duration of the shoot. I generally will shoot roughly at least 100 photos in a 45-hour session time. Lengthy shoot like an all day wedding or a partial day engagement there may be anywhere from 500-1000+ shots!!(thats ALOT of photos, people.Trust me, I look through them allll!) All this to say, you will have plenty of photographs to choose from when you receive your gallery! Obviously, not all 500+ shots will be suitable for print or hanging on your living room wall!  (haha!that would be amazing and overwhelming!) However, I will select a good portion to tastefully edit/retouch and make sure that you get a very well rounded collection of photos from your shoot that will truly capture the feeling and atmosphere we were going for! If you do need or want to try for a specific number of photos for some reason, that is always something we can discuss at pre-booking phase :)

• Turnaround time for receiving your galleries may vary, depending on the season and how busy business is. This is the nature of photography! However, I do try my utmost to get your photos to you as quickly as possible and aim for a 2-3 week time frame for normal sessions. up to a 1-2 months for an more lengthy shoot like an engagement session, a longer family or maternity session, or a wedding/event. These time frames are Estimations and most of the time, I will get your photos to you MUCH sooner! I thank you in advance for understanding and being patient. I will do my best to inform you of any unforseen delays , but you can expect a fairly quick turnaround. If it is a busy season in general when you book your session, I will most likely plan for a longer turn around time, so that you will be pleasantly surprised to get your photos sooner! :) Again, these are concerns/questions I am happy to discuss with you further when you inquire!

• I photograph in natural outdoor light as much as possible(or bright interiors with alot of sunlight!) Currently, I do not use flash and artificial lighting equipment so please take that into consideration with locations, times and the look that you would want for your shoot. I will surely be adding in more gear to my collection and hence, expand the types of shoots I will do , but for now, I try to stick with the most natural settings! :)

• ** In light of COVID 19- I am only doing outdoor sessions, or home sessions that are in an open or partially open setting to enable social distancing as much as possible. I myself will use mask and work at directing you and your family through your poses from a distance as much as possible so as to minimize germ exposure for all! :) I would ask that if you have concerns about your health or If I have concerns about my own as we approach the session day, don't hesitate to communicate and we will work with each other on rescheduling! These days flexibility and adaptation are the name of the game! :) Praying for your health!

• I am willing to travel! However, as a full-time mommy and wifey, anything requiring extensive travel will need plenty of time to book and plan and pricing packages/travel details discussed.:)
